From our reading of public CQC reports, the same pattern holds in every one of England’s nine regions: the care is usually good, but Well-led, the governance and oversight domain, is the area providers are most often marked down on. That’s an evidence problem, not a care one. Pick your region for the local picture, the same fixed-fee promise applies wherever you sit.

Each region page is grounded in that region’s real CQC numbers, aggregate-only, never a named provider, from our own reading of public reports. The figures vary by region; the gap doesn’t.
